Rachael Lauren

Rachael has been passionate about music theory, singing and playing piano since she was a very young girl, but she truly honed her skills in high school and college, studying voice and choral arts at Shenandoah Conservatory. “I pride myself in my remembrance of what it was like to be a student and implementing that into my teaching style, focusing on purposeful reactions and empathetic responses.”

Rachael balances her lessons between the necessary repertoire & technique and developing a personal style and love for your instrument. This way, the student can both explore their innate creativity and build their physical skills. She also makes sure every student has a fair chance at success, which starts with a healthy relationship with practicing. The student will work with her to tailor custom practice habits that are realistic to their thought process and lifestyle. This can be especially helpful for neurodivergent students and students with busy schedules.
