Alani Sugar is a multi-instrumentalist with a passion for bluegrass and old time music. She loves to perform and has had the opportunity to share the stage with many of her heros over the years. She has been awarded various times for her musicianship by organizations including the Seven Mountains Bluegrass Association, the Steve Mandell Memorial Scholarship, and the Fletcher Bright memorial award.
Alani teaches fiddle and mandolin online and has had the chance to work with students of all ages and levels, from all over the country and the world. Her students describe her as patient, knowledgeable, and adaptive in her approach. Topics covered in lessons include (but are not limited to) timing, technique, repertoire, ear training, and music theory.
