Albert Goenner brings over two decades of musical experience, technical craftsmanship, and an accessible, student-centered style to his teaching. His passion for guitar first led him to complete formal luthiery training at the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery, before serving four years as a hospital corpsman (medic) in the U.S. Navy. Expanding his technical footprint into the studio, he later completed studio recording studies at Hagerstown Community College.
With 21 years of playing guitar, 16 years of songwriting, vocal performance, and music production in Ableton Live-alongside 8 years of piano and a decade of music theory-Albert offers a deep, multi-faceted perspective on making music. As an instructor, his primary focus is guitar, where he introduces music theory in an encouraging, stress-free way. Rather than relying on rigid textbook lessons, he integrates theory organically into real-world playing, giving students a practical, intuitive grasp of how the guitar actually works.
