Along with his father, David Sloan, and Chief Operating Officer, Bailey Kercheval, Anthony Sloan is the President and Co-Founder of Sloan School of Music. Anthony has over a decade of experience as a full-time private lesson instructor, with students studying a wide range of styles of electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele. Anthony’s students have gone on to play professionally, as well as study at numerous colleges and universities for music, including Towson University, Berklee School of Music, UMBC, Shepherd University, and more.
Anthony teaches music in a way that emphasizes practical application, positive reinforcement, and improvisation. He enjoys working with students of all ages and experience levels, from ages 5 to 80 and over. Anthony has almost twenty years of experience playing and performing in venues of all sizes with local groups such as Lost Keys, the Soothsayers, and the B-Side Band. Anthony went to school at the University of Delaware for three years where he studied music business and classical guitar performance before moving on to the Omega Studios’ School of Applied Recording Arts and Sciences, completing their comprehensive program with a trade school certificate in March of 2013.
